A Year of Change

14.12.2020

What a year this has been for all of us! So much change, drama, sadness, upheaval ….. I could go on but there probably aren’t enough adjectives to fully describe all that we have been through.

This is my last newsletter of the year – and my last for BLT! In this year of change, the big personal change for me is that after 32 years, I am retiring from BLT.  It has been such an amazing journey with a great busines and fabulous people, and I will be very sad to leave.   But it is time for a new challenge and from January 2021, Liz Watt Coaching Ltd will be my new focus. I am excited to be establishing this new venture and devoting my time to coaching and personal development projects.

I won’t be cutting my BLT ties completely though, as I will continue to run the Women in Indirect Tax Networking Group through BLT. This has been a great success over the past 3 years, and I am so grateful that it gives me the opportunity to continue working with all my BLT colleagues and the wider VAT and Customs community.

This type of change is a time for reflection, especially given all that has happened this year. There are so many people I would like to thank for my recruitment career and I just don’t have to room to do so here. But I hope you know who you are, and how much I have valued your input, guidance and advice throughout. In particular, I would like to thank the current BLT team – Guy Barrand, Emma Wade, Tariq Siraj, Davey Peyton and Rebecca Blackwell – you are all amazing and I look forward to seeing you and BLT flourish over the coming years. And to all those in the unique and always interesting world that is Indirect Tax – the clients, candidates, friends and businesses that I have been lucky enough to work with.

It would be great to stay connected as I start my new venture – and I hope I will have the opportunity to provide coaching to some of you in the future.  If you want to get in touch, email info@lizwattcoaching.co.uk and check out my new website here.

In the meantime, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and a more positive, healthy and prosperous 2021.
