Do you have consulting experience? People and Change focus? And immediately available or with a one month notice period?

You must have external consulting experience specialising within People and Change. Your Change Management experience may come from a variety of areas – Behavioural and Cultural Change, The People aspects of Change as the result of a major systems implementation or perhaps even working with clients to establish their own in-house Change capability. It doesn’t really matter what your focus is as long as you can demonstrate that you can run a consulting delivery project, can build good relationships with clients and inspire your team to deliver high quality results.

You’ll have a lot of responsibility and enjoy the autonomy this brings, yet be very well supported too. The work/life balance is better than at many other consulting firms, with currently most client assignments based around London. You’ll likely be:

SENIOR EXCISE & CUSTOMS ANALYST, Flexible including UK (Surrey or North-West) – £Varies according to location

This global brand is looking for a Senior Excise & Customs Analyst for the EMEA region – there is flexibility on location including UK (Surrey or North-West), Netherlands (Schiphol) or Poland (Warsaw).  The candidate will be responsible for the management of excise tax compliance control frameworks for the group businesses in the EMEA region and customs compliance tasks. The EMEA Senior Excise & Customs Analyst will work closely with the businesses to address risks to leverage excise and customs opportunities, to support the development and implementation of control and compliance improvements, to contribute to responses to government inquiries and provide operational guidance and training.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the excise duty control framework for the EMEA region
  • Support excise tax planning, management and advisory initiatives
  • Provide advice to the businesses for tariff classification, customs valuation and origin determination:
  • Facilitate electronic filing of customs import, export, transit declarations and excise documentation

To apply you will need:

  • University Degree including professional certification and/or equivalent relevant experience in the areas of customs and excise gained with a Big 4 accounting firm, major law firm or multinational company or as an excise specialist in a government department
  • Relevant professional experience of 3-5 years in the EMEA region
  • Experienced in managing relationships with customs authorities and/or other relevant government agencies in several
  • Experience in monitoring internal controls, perform risk assessments and internal audits
  • Knowledge of SAP/GTS customs functionality or of other customs software applications is preferred

UK VAT MANAGER: F/S, London – to £80/85,000 + Benefits, depending on experience

Newly created role in this financial services institution as they enhance and develop their tax department. Reporting to the Global VAT Head, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for the UK VAT group, as well as all other UK VAT compliance aspects
  • Development for developing and implementing VAT risk framework and systems/process documentation
  • Provision of VAT training.

This would suit an experienced VAT compliance specialist, with good financial services and partial exemption experience, used to operating at a high level, whilst being prepared to roll their sleeves up. You are probably currently working in another financial services company, but those with appropriate VAT experience in an accountancy firm would also be consider.
