BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / PRACTICE LEAD, London – £50,000 – £60,000

Recruitment but different.

We’ve all been there – Six grand short on threshold for the quarter and not a chance of your best contractor going perm, a Business Manager that doesn’t manage business, a time sheet that ends up in someone else’s name and phone times recorded that would put a certain big-nosed, wooden boy in the shade.

It’s painful at times, but it doesn’t ever have to be like that again.

Imagine working with some of the brightest minds in London who consult with some of the biggest FS brands on the planet. Imagine mid to long-term revenue generation with no threshold, big margins and very little admin. Imagine that and you’re close to what’s on offer at this small, specialist Management Consultancy that is setting up an interim, Associate Consultant business. Think of this as a start-up within a mature business; a specialist, cream of the crop interim desk that’s a bit different.

Your role will be to generate a profitable revenue stream from the contracting out of predominantly associate based consultants on tactical short to medium term assignments – the firm sees digital, AI, and Robotics as the way forward so any exposure or love for that area would be great. You’ll need to be a BD expert, who still gets a buzz from the win but never lets it go to your head; so you’ll be a networker and not a dancer at the end of the quarter do.

On offer is a chance to build your own Practice with the backing of an established firm, earn uncapped commission on the GP you bring in, (no thresholds here,) and an opportunity to do the job you first fell in love with, in a different environment without the usual hassles the recruitment merry-go-round can bring.

If this sounds of interest please let me know and a full job spec and details will be supplied.

PROGRAMME DIRECTOR, Manchester – 2 year contract, £90,000 – £110,000 plus benefits

Can you keep a Programme on track and on budget?

Can you join midway through and pick up the reins?

You’ll be familiar with the scene – the early stages of an IT Transformation Programme have gone reasonably well, the first couple of phases seem to be in place. And now it’s the critical phase, when time pressure is beginning to increase, there’s still a lot to do and some fresh input and enthusiasm is needed.

And this is where you come in – Reporting directly to the CTO you’ll be a seasoned IT Programme Director, with Public / Not For Profit Sector experience and the personal credibility to work successfully with a varied group of stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the programme team and wider business ensuring individual and collective responsibility for successful delivery. You’ll direct the Programme team in delivering the core elements of the programme ensuring the requisite governance is in place. You’ll also be familiar with the challenges in working with a third party delivery partner and be adept at building and maintaining good relationships there too.

In short, you’ll have seen it all before in the world of IT Programme Management and know that no matter how tricky it gets, it will get done. This resilience, patience and sometimes a sense of humour will be key to ensuring the programme is delivered on time and on budget.

CONSULTING DIRECTOR, Hertfordshire – £100,000 – £150,000

Hertfordshire – Never been myself but I hear it’s lovely.

Imagine driving to work and having a free parking space every day, imagine breathing in the clean country air without a sniff of fried food, petrol or drains within 20 miles. Converted barn for an office anyone?

A small consulting firm on the outskirts of London has done really well over the last two decades but finds themselves in need of a fresh pair of eyes, a bit of a makeover, a freshen up. Could you be the person to do that?

Well known in the FS world for the great work they do and able to win business off ‘The Big Boys’ you could be their next leader and responsible for the growth they are after. It’s a close-knit firm, with a small permanent headcount but a fairly sizeable Associate pool that they have worked with for years who do the business on client sites. The firm’s founder is still very hands-on in the business but sooner or later he’ll want to enjoy the spoils of all his hard work which means you could be next in line to lead the firm into the next two decades.

You’ll probably be a senior figure in the consulting world and a little tired of the rat race. Think of yourself as a great driver of transformation in clients’ businesses enabling them to maximise their performance whilst being the go-to person in the team who leads by example.

There’s more to it than that of course but if you can do the above and then some, fancy clean air, a parking space, and a chance to be the head honcho, perhaps you would like to know more? If so please apply and I’d be happy to share more information and a full job spec.
