ASSOCIATE: STRATEGY CONSULTING / TRADING: Successful independent market risk advisory, South East – up to £75,000 basic

This independent market risk advisory firm specialises in the management of currency, interest rate and commodity price risk. Founded nearly 10 years ago by high-level traders and risk strategists from bulge-bracket bank and Fortune 100 backgrounds, there has been no let-up in the quality of work they do.

They design and implement innovative risk and trading strategies and technologies for a range of corporations and alternative investment funds (private equity, secondaries, real estate and more) and advise on over $100bn in hedging transactions every year.

They seek Associates for their advisory desk to be specialists in either Strategy Consulting or Trading.

Both roles require:

  • a relevant undergraduate degree (ie finance, economics, mathematics)
  • post-graduate qualification ie MBA, CFA, FRM, AMCT/MCT, CIMA, CAIA etc

Strategy Consultants must have:

  • achieved early management experience within the management consulting market
  • have had some focus on private equity/hedge funds, investment banking or similar
  • a good understanding of the financial services risk management market or the wider funds market

Trading specialists must have:

  • 3-7 years experience in investment banking, corporate treasury, private equity/hedge funds or similar
  • good knowledge of alternative investment funds
  • some exposure to trade execution of OTC derivatives
