HEAD OF CONSULTANCY: Education sector, London/South East – £70,000 – £75,000 basic

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven commercial mind to transfer their skills into a not-for-profit environment and make a significant and visible impact.

This influential and highly respected organisation has been delivering large-scale education services solutions for over 40 years based on leading edge thinking and research insights. Active in over 80 countries, they have a history in developing and implementing major programmes which have transformed school systems in both the developing and developed world.

They are seeking a Head of Consultancy – someone to oversee the commercial performance of the practice, design and deliver a strategic business development plan and successfully lead a team of both fee-earning consultants and operational project support.

This is a P&L role requiring the post holder to bring a track record in business development, project management, client relationship management and commercial leadership.

This will clearly be someone with a strong commercial acumen, but it must also be someone who buys into the values-led approach of a not-for-profit organisation very much looking to instigate positive change where it is needed.

To be considered you must have the following:

  • Experience in managing a consulting team
  • Experience in business development and strategy development – preferably including market analysis, product development, client positioning, client relationship management, proposal development, partnership development
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience in building and developing internal and external stakeholder relations
  • Strong preference of project experience in the education or wider public sector spaces
