ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: Communications and Engagement Strategy Consulting, London – £60,000 – £80,000 plus benefits

What would you say if one of your clients asked: “How should we define ourselves?” or How does our reputation impact on our business value?” or “How important is trust to our customers, clients and employees?”

In an increasingly competitive economic environment consumers in all industry sectors are faced with a lot of choice – and where we spend our money depends on a number of factors. Whether we choose the biggest or a specialist niche provider, the cheapest or the most financially exclusive, the concept of trust and reputation is increasingly important to the choices we all make. In an age where social media can build (and tarnish) business value in minutes, how do customers, suppliers and employees make their choices and what can businesses do to influence this?

If you have a strong track record in management consultancy, marketing communications or research, and would like to be addressing these challenges with clients, you’ll need a blend of evidence based strategic insight and a creative, innovative approach. Building or protecting a reputation to increase business value requires an intelligent and robust approach – from using quantitave and qualitative research to understand audience attitudes, to asking difficult questions of clients and then having the interpersonal skills to gain acceptance of your recommendations.

If you’d like to apply for this role, please send your cv to Catriona Cookson at cec@blt.co.uk quoting ref cec12916.

Thank you for your interest in this role. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications we receive we cannot respond to all unsuccessful applicants.

RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER, London – £80,000 – £100,000

Fancy upsetting the Business Banking apple cart?

If you’d like to be part of a start-up bank that focuses its energies on the business world we may have something of interest.

Have you ever thought about setting up and being part of the Risk and Compliance function for one of these shiny new banks? Yes? Good. This role will work alongside the Chief of Risk & Compliance as they get things ready and compliant for their go-live date which is the first part of next year. This will be an incredibly busy role where the vagueness of a Start-up will tap you on the shoulder at every turn, so if you are someone who likes a bit of variety and volatility in your 9-5 this will probably appeal to you.

The work will be varied and will include: Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, AML, Complaints Handling etc. I don’t want to list the full spec here, but you get the picture…. Start-up and busy!!!

We think we’d be looking for someone who is crying out for a bit of adventure, in an environment where no two hours are the same, and where once the fog has cleared you’ll be sitting pretty and owning a piece of the department that you have built in a business that no doubt will upset that apple cart I mentioned at the beginning.

Obviously, the bank will pay a good salary and bonus, but you’ll have to go through three rounds of interviews first to see any of it….it was never going to be easy, was it.

If the above is of interest, please apply to the role where a full spec and details will be shared.
