Think Sydney Harbour and The Rocks and you’ll pretty much be in this strategy firm’s front garden. Established over 15 years ago this firm has offices in major cities across the globe but still manages to maintain their small, high end status.

The firm has a good management structure, solid professional development opportunities and an appealing company culture and work life balance where you’ll get to work with high end clients across Australia. If it’s career development that you’re after then they can certainly do that in less time than their competitors.

They are an optimistic, assertive bunch and are now keen to speak to people to help them on their journey that are at or approaching Manager Level. You’ll probably have 5-6 years’ experience within a top tier or high end boutique strategy firm and be looking to have more of a 50/50 split between work for PE clients and pure strategy projects.  No standing around and scratching your head here as the average project lasts from 4 weeks to 2 months so you’ll be busy.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER: Higher Education services leader, London or Oxford – £60,000 + bonus

This firm is a world leader in providing higher education services; managed campus services, university pathway programmes, industry qualifications, international language programmes and more. Their work is delivered through a combination of their own colleges and long-term partnerships with established HE institutions covering the UK, Asia, North America, Africa, Australia and Continental Europe.

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to operate out of either London or Oxford.

This person will identify new opportunities and then qualify and analyse their commercial and operational viability through deep market research, creating strategic and financial models, and managing projects. The ability to then develop pitches, shape and launch business opportunities and build sustainable senior level relationships is key.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Consulting experience from a high level advisory firm (probably to a junior management level)
  • Experience in financial modelling and market research
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent academic qualifications (MBA would be a bonus)
  • Some business development/stakeholder management experience is preferred
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred
