  • Rare VAT contract role in Scotland, effectively managing the compliance and advisory VAT affairs of this complex organisation
  • It’s envisaged that the contract would last for 18 months
  • You’d be involved in project work as well as strategic advisory work; there’s big numbers involved, so you will need to be technically competent and both confident and capable of managing VAT affairs in relation to a wide range of areas.

VAT EDITOR, 6 – 9 month contract, London – £Good daily rate

  • Truly unusual roles with our client, who are looking for one or two contingent workers to review content as they expand the coverage of their online VAT guide into new countries
  • You’ll need to have a good understanding of VAT law and how VAT systems work in different jurisdictions, and the ability to delve into technical intricacies to determine whether technical content should be queried
  • You’ll also need good writing and editing skills and the ability to edit content authored by specialists with varying degrees of English linguistic ability, so that it reads fluently.
  • Knowledge of specific countries’ VAT/GST regimes is not essential; but a good knowledge of VAT systems and how they work is.

There’s plenty of work to get done, so its possible that the contracts could be extended beyond the initial term of 6/9 months.

A newly created role with this fast growing business involved in the provision of financial credit. Reporting to the Head of Tax you will assist in the provision and delivery of VAT compliance and adhoc advice for the Group.  It’s a real mix of hands-on compliance work and being the focal point for all VAT queries from the business.  This position also offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to manage and implement “making VAT digital” as well as reviewing and improving the VAT compliance process.
