UK TRADE COMPLIANCE MANAGER, Staffordshire – to £60,000 + car + bens

A new opportunity to ensure that a major division of this global engineering business is in full compliance with the import and export laws of the United Kingdom and all countries where they do business.  Reporting to the Global Trade Compliance Manager you will be responsible for minimising risk and ensuring efficient and effective processes for import/export activities. In particular this will include designing, implementing and managing a robust compliance program., delivering a tailored training program to cover export control, AEO compliance, Corporate Trade Standards, general awareness, risk identification, and escalation.

VAT MANAGER, Investment Management Company, London – up to c. £60,000 + good benefits

  • Great new role in, reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax
  • Overview and responsibility for compliance matters; also advisory and project work.
  • You’ll need strong core VAT technical skills, as well as the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Great for someone with strong compliance management oversight experience.
  • Good communications skills are a must; as you’ll need to work well with different types of people at different levels.

Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, the successful applicant will work closely with various parts of the property team to ensure compliance with filing and reporting legislation, and liaison with corporate finance to ensure that corporate VAT issues are appropriately managed. You’ll be able to build strong relationships with the fund teams in London and across Europe and also develop a positive working relationship with HMRC. Property VAT experience would be very helpful, but not essential; you’ll need to be all-rounder with the ability to deliver against deadlines and manage multidisciplinary projects.
